While it can easily accommodate 19 passengers, plus a crew of two or three and a cabin attendant, it is typically configured for eight to ten passengers in an arrangement that includes such amenities as a full lavatory with shower, a conference/dining room, and/or multiple work stations, and a crew rest area for flights possibly lasting longer than 14 hours. Total cabin volume is 1,669 cu. ft. The G550 is powered by two BMW/Rolls-Royce BR 700-710-C4-11 turbofans each rated at 15,385 lbs. of thrust to ISA +15 C . Inspection interval on the engines is "on condition." The engines feature a 48-inch-wide chord fan, a four-to-one bypass ratio, 10 axial flow compressor stages powered by two high-pressure turbines, followed by two low-pressure turbine stages that power the fan.
